Important information regarding Digital Transmission ConversionThe Canadian television system is in the process of converting its over-the-air transmitters from analog to digital.
Midnight on August 31st, 2011 will indicate the end of analog and the start of the digital era for CITL-TV; broadcasting on Channel 4 and CKSA-TV; broadcasting on Channel 2.
If you are watching CITL-TV / CKSA-TV via satellite or cable services, you will not be affected by the conversion.
Please be advised that we will discontinue operations of our CITL-TV transmission facilities in Wainwright on Channel 6, Provost on Channel 5, Meadow Lake on Channel 3, Bonnyville on Channel 7 as well as our CKSA-TV transmission facilities in Wainwright on Channel 8, and Provost on Channel 12.
If you are receiving the signal for CITL-TV / CKSA-TV directly over the air, you will need to purchase a digital converter box, a television with a digital tuner or a subscription to a satellite or cable service to continue viewing our signal following the conversion.
Digital TV converter boxes are available at major electronics retailers and enable viewers with analog TVs to receive the digital signals and down convert them to an analog signal
